The smart door/window contact II Plus not only reliably detects open doors and windows and displays their status in the app, but also reacts to slight vibrations thanks to the shock sensor. This makes it a valuable part of the alarm system, as it sounds the alarm if there is a break-in attempt or if someone tries to open a window without authorization – even before windows or doors are opened. When the alarm system is activated, it also warns of possible security gaps caused by forgotten windows/doors.
The integrated button is multifunctional: short and long button presses can be individually assigned as triggers for actions or scenarios via the app. The pause function can be used by double-clicking. This means that the window/door can be opened once without triggering an alarm or turning down the heating – practical, for example, to let the dog out for a short time.
Of course, the smart sensor can also be used for energy and cost efficiency: In the “Sustainable Ventilation” service, the radiator thermostats in the room are automatically throttled when the windows are open.
The integration into Apple HomeKit, Amazon and Google Home also enables the combination with many compatible devices from other manufacturers.
